Oggi Pierino ha deciso di rilassarsi un po' e....quale posto migliore di un eremo!!!

Today Pierino was looking for relax and....what better of a hermitage!!!

Per arrivare a Santa Caterina del Sasso prendiamo come punto di riferimento l'uscita autostradale di Vergiate-Sesto Calende.
Imboccare la superstrada in direzione Besozzo, al quarto semaforo girare a sinistra per Comabbio, proseguire lungo la strada seguendo le indicazioni per Osmate prima per poi arrivare a Cadrezzate.
Si arriva ad un semaforo, superato il quale allo stop girare a destra in direzione Ispra.
Superato il centro di ricerca europeo di Ispra si arriva alla statale, girare in direzione Laveno Mombello, giunti a leggiuno prendere la stradina sulla sinistra con l'indicazione Santa Caterina del Sasso.

To get to Santa Caterina del Sasso take as a reference the exit Vergiate-Sesto Calende.
Take the highway in direction Besozzo, at the fourth traffic light turn left to Comabbio, continue along the road following the signs for Osmate before then Cadrezzate get to.
You get to a traffic light, after which the stop sign turn right towards Ispra.
After the European Research Centre in Ispra you get to the main road, turn towards Laveno Mombello, joints leggiuno take the road on the left with indicating Santa Caterina del Sasso.

Arrivati all'eremo troverete un ampio parcheggio per le vostre auto, un area giochi per bambini ed un ampio spazio attrezzato con tavoli e panchine per fare picnic.

We arrived to the hermitage there is a large parking for your cars, a children's play area and a large area equipped with tables and benches for picnicking

Si giunge ad una piazzetta recentemente riqualificata dalla Provincia di Varese, l'atmosfera è fantastica, la vista sublime!!!
Il ristoro dell'eremo gestito dalla scuola arberghiera di Varese offre la possibilità di pranzare a costo contenuto, vi è un ascensore a pagamento che agevola la discesa fino all'eremo, il costo è di 50 centesimi, in alternativa si può percorrere la lunga scalinata che regala una vista da favola!!!

You come to a small square newly developed by the Province of Varese, the atmosphere is fantastic, the view sublime !!!
The refreshment hermitage run by the school arberghiera of Varese offers the option of dining at reasonable cost, there is a pay lift that facilitates the descent to the hermitage, the cost is 50 cents, or you can take the long staircase that offers a fabulous view !!!

Giunti alla fine della scalinata si arriva all'eremo, l'aspetto è estremamente curato, verdi giardini, la galleria dell'ascensore la balconata che affaccia sul lago....tutto stupendo!!!

At the end of the staircase you come to the hermitage, the appearance is very nice, green gardens, the gallery of the lift and the balcony overlooking the lake.....all gorgeous!!!

L'eremo si presenta in tutto il suo splendore antichi affreschi, il torchio e la chiesa.
